Fire Water Pump Set
Fire water pump sets comprise a combination of electric motor driven, diesel engine driven and electric motor driven jockey pumps that supply water to sprinkler & wet riser fire suppression systems. Fire water pumps are required to comply with Local Civil Defense Authority regulations and International Codes of Practice e.g. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Types of pumps include Horizontal Split Case, Vertical Turbine Lift and End Suction
EXTERNAL HYDRANT SYSTEM
External fire hydrants are located throughout residential and industrial areas and are supplied by either public or private service underground piping distribution mains. These networks are connected to suitable water storage facilities which utilize fire pumps to distribute water to hydrants.
Due to the high operating pressures and flows discharged thru hose and nozzles, the hydrants must be manually operated by trained personnel i.e. Civil Defense firefighters. The hydrants are also provided with a facility to connect fire hoses direct from Civil Defense fire water storage tankers should the distribution mains be unable to provide adequate water supply or pressure
WATER SPRAY DELUGE SYSTEMS
Water spray deluge systems comprise a distribution of piping and nozzles arranged to provide specific types of protection to identified hazardous equipment e.g. oil storage tanks, transformers etc. Types of protection provided include for effective fire control, extinguishment, prevention, or exposure protection.
Water supply to the piping and ‘open type’ nozzles is controlled via automatic or manually operated deluge control valves. Calculations determine appropriate water ‘density application rates’ to provide the type fire protection system required to be installed
Selection of system protection to be installed is dependent upon identification of either Class A or Class B type fire. Generally foam / water deluge systems are designed to extinguish flammable liquid hazards, e.g. within bund areas containing oil storage tanks. Selection of suitable discharge devices provide various options to distribute either externally or internally, e.g. foam pourers at top of large capacity vertical oil storage tanks
High expansion foam concentrates also provide capability to discharge a ‘foam blanket’ over large floor areas, e.g. aircraft hangers providing containment and extinguishing protection

Automatic Operated Wet Pipe Sprinkler Systems comprise distribution piping layout, temperature rated frangible bulb sprinklers, Alarm Check Valves c/w trim assembly, OS&Y System Isolation Gate Valves, Zone Control Valve arrangements c/w Butterfly Isolation Valve, Water Flow Detector, Test & Drain Valve
Water within the sprinkler distribution piping, which utilizes sealed temperature rated sprinkler bulbs, is maintained at a suitable pressure. Should a fire condition occur, which generates heat in excess of the temperature rated sprinkler bulbs one or more sprinkler(s) operate and water is immediately discharged from the open sprinkler(s) downwards toward the fire hazard.
Selection of suitable types of sprinkler protection is dependent upon the identified types of commodities and classification of occupancy and associated hazards.
FIRE HOSE REEL & STANDPIPE SYSTEMS
Wet riser pipe systems comprise manually operated fire hose reels and landing valves which are strategically located for unobstructed access should a fire condition occur. The fire hose reel should only be operated by occupants who are competent / trained in their use however; due to higher operating pressures and flows discharged thru hose and nozzles, landing valves must only be operated by the trained fire department personnel.
Dry riser pipe systems comprise landing valves which are usually located within building stairwells. The systems require external fire hose connections direct from Civil Defense fire water storage tankers to provide adequate water supply or pressure and must only be operated by the trained fire department personnel.
EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT
Exit signags, bulkhead, high output and twinlight emergency luminaries, most fittings are available as either non-maintained or maintained version.

Gate Valve System
Gate valves are multi-purpose bi-directional shutoff valves for controlling firewater supply between the water storage facility via fire pumps and piping distribution networks. Their operation status is either ‘fully open’ or ‘fully closed’. Operational status is achieved by moving the wedge in an up/down direction inside the valve body. They can be installed in horizontal, vertical or inclined positions.
Novec Clean Agent System
Novec1230 gas is a waterless fire suppressant and extinguishes a fire by removing the heat element of the fire triangle (Oxygen, Heat and Fuel). It does not remove or reduce oxygen levels within the protected area.
Due to the low concentration levels of Novec1230 fire suppression, this means that less storage space for Novec 1230 storage cylinders is required, making the storage footprint for the fire suppression agent relatively small by comparison to other Clean Agent fire suppression systems.

Pre-action sprinkler systems are specialized for use in locations where accidental activation is undesired, thereby protecting buildings and equipment from unintended water damage
There are two main sub-types of pre-action systems: single interlock, and double interlock.
The operation of single interlock systems are similar to dry pipe deluge systems except that these systems require that a “preceding” fire detection event, typically the activation of a heat or smoke detector, takes place prior to the “action” of water flowing into the system’s piping by opening the pre-action valve, which is a mechanically latched valve (i.e., similar to a deluge valve). Prior to fire detection, if the sprinkler operates, or the piping system develops a leak, loss of air pressure in the piping will activate a trouble alarm. In this case, the pre-action valve will not open due to loss of supervisory pressure, and water will not flow into the piping.
The operation of a double interlock system is similar to a deluge system except that automatic sprinklers are used for detection / protection purposes. These systems require that both a “preceding” fire detection event, i.e. simultaneous activation of a heat or smoke detector, and an automatic sprinkler operation take place prior to the “action” of water introduction into the system’s piping. Individual activation of either the fire detectors or sprinklers does not allow water to enter the piping.
PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER
Fire extinguishers are an active fire protection device intended as a first line of defense to control fires of limited size often in emergency situations. Typically, a fire extinguisher consists of a hand-held cylindrical pressure vessel containing an agent which can be discharged to extinguish a fire.
There are two main types of fire extinguishers: stored pressure and cartridge-operated which contain agents to effectively extinguish fires of limited size. They shall be maintained in a fully charged and operable condition and be kept in their designated places at all times when they are not being used.
Water, dry powder and carbon dioxide are commonly used for protection where Class A, (wood, paper etc.) B, (flammable liquids) or C (electrical) type fires are identified. Other agents include foam for Class A or B and wet chemical for Class K (kitchen) type.
